Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American screen and stage actress, best known for her film roles on the film Ray Undercover Brother and on the TV show The Mentalist. She graduated with the B.A. in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting at Tisch School of Acting at New York University. Aunjanue Ellis. Ellis is an American actress and producer, who has been involved in the world of film and television. Her acting career began in the theater. Later, she was a part of various television series in independent films, mainstream and film. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw, a character on ABC's Quantico. On BET's epic show The Book of Negroes she was a character. Not only did she be praised by critics for her performance, but she did she also win a couple of awards and nominations. Her professional acting debut in the role of Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. Alongside Broadway's Come and Gone, she also has credits for Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. In the film industry, she's best known for performances such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. In her television work, she's received praise for her role as a regular character on ABC's police drama High Incident.
