Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age fourteen. Along with BJJ, she also trained in wrestling, boxing and kickboxing. In the age of 18 years old, Ladd had her first appearance as an amateur in WCFC. Ladd had an amazing 3 fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat. In the three fights, she defeated her opponent right in the first round. Then, she went to WCFC again and beat Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo before facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia Calvillo handed Aspen a unanimous defeat and was able to outclass her, tarnishing Ladd's professional career. Ladd recovered from the defeat, and won Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to increase her record to 8-1. Aspen began her career in the year 2015 when she signed to Invicta FC for her professional debut. Invicta fought Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta '11 and she won by one-round TKO. She won her next fight with Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission and went up to the weight of bantamweight in her next bout at Invicta FC 16. Aspen utilized the skills she had learned in wrestling to defeat McGill. She ended the fight with a TKO (3rd round) (elbows and punches). Aspen was then in a fight with Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18 at weight of catchweight (138.1lb), as Ladd did not have enough weight. However, Aspen was able to beat Hoy. She won via TKO in the second-round. Invicta FC21 was her last fight with the company. The winner was Sijara Ebanks by unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She defeated Lina by pounding and grounding her to the ground, gaining the TKO in the second round. Then, in her third fight she beat Tonya Evinger even more impressively. Ladd won the fight at the start of round one, and received the Performance of the Night bonus. Invicta FC's Sijara Eubanks was her opponent in an rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. It was the fighter's first major match. Ladd was the winner of the night's main event fight bonus, after both fighters had a fierce fight back and forth. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd after 16 seconds and ended her winning streak. Yana Knitskaya, in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's final round, was defeated by Randamie. For a rematch, she fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. The fight was unanimously decided in her favor.
